Feedback Recieved and Progress Report
I have received lots of feedback from my peers at my school. Most, if not all of my peers have liked my idea. They have given me some very helpful things to think about. They told me about an ASL teacher at the school doing an ASL club. One of my peers has a blind relative that I could probably talk to. I know that blindness is not the same as deafness, but talking to him could give me some insight on how disabled people go about life. I have found a site to start learning some sign language, and it can be found here http://www.start-american-sign-language.com/. By next week I am hoping to start learning and memorizing the ASL alphabet using this website. Ya'll should try to learn it too.

All About Me and The Future For This Blog
Hey, my name is Jon. I am going to be doing these blog posts all about ASL and deaf people. ASL stands for American Sign Language. I'm going to be learning about deaf people and ASL. I will then post my findings on this blog. My overall goal is to learn and teach you people about the lives of deaf people and the ASL language. Doing this will hopefully influence ya'll to make with friends or talk to deaf people if they are in your society.
My motives for this are deaf people themselves and the way they are treated. I really want to help deaf people have better lives and get more friends. I really want ya'll to get something out of this and make friends with a deaf person in your society. Ya'll might be asking," Why should I learn sign language." Ya'll should learn sign language not just to widen your variety of languages, but to spread the awareness of deaf people.
I have a very specific plan of attack. First, I will find out a website to learn some basic sign language. Second, I will learn the basic sign language that it teaches. Thirdly, I will post my findings on these blogs for ya'll to learn.
